How to Stretch a Paper-crafting Subscription Box

I recently found a subscription box that I really like! It is bright, cheerful and whimsical. It is a bit heavy on the paper though, so using it all up can be challenging. There are not any mixed media elements to it, so I pulled in a few things from my stash to round it out. When I received my Rita Barakat limited edition die cuts I knew they would be perfect with the December 2018 Fairy Tale Club box! I also found some snowflake buttons on sale at Joann’s on Black Friday that I wanted to use on these cards.

I pulled in some Rinea Foiled Paper in Ruby and Sapphire that I ran through my embossing machine. I cut 11 3.75 by 5 inch bases from those sheets. I cut 11 2 by 3.75 inch strips and crumpled up the extra foiled paper as another element of texture. The dollies are one of my favorite things to use on projects! I cut three up into fourths — one for each card. I assembled the cards making sure to use a few of the die cut pieces from the Fairy Tale Club box and snowflake buttons.

I did pretty much the same thing on each card, but they each can stand alone. They look like a set — but not a cookie cutter set. These were so much fun to make!

Until next time ~ Happy Crafting!
