I am super excited to share with you two of the new Joy Clair releases! I created a Bible art piece with one and a card wit the other. I also made two ATC with them as well!
Instead of using the new Hope Stamp Set as a way to express hope, I used it as a way to show strength and take on a warrior attitude. I have Celiac Disease. For years I prayed that God would heal me even though I did not know what I had. Once I got the diagnosis and avoided gluten the symptoms pretty much disappeared. Though my body did grow weary my soul did not – hence the saying and verse!
For the ATC I portrayed a warrior and thought of all of my fellow sisters who struggle with cancer and other diseases.
I found the “We Can Do It” card set in Washington DC last simmer. I gessoed the base and went over it with a wet paint brush and wiped the face clean. Once it was dry I stamped my image and words.
Mermaid at Heart
This might be my favorite new release set! The tail is a perfect sassy flirt and the sayings coordinate beautifully. For the card, I picked up some specialty paper at my local craft store and embossed it. I simply stamped the sentiment on another sheet and layered it. For the tail, I embossed it in black and used watercolor markers to shade it in. I made it shiny with Glossy accents!
I mimicked the process on the ATC, just working on a smaller scale.
Make sure you check out the shop for all the new releases and hop and check out what the other designers did with different stamp sets!
A new player in the craft industry is Rinea Foiled Paper. I discovered this small business about three years ago and have been hooked ever sense! As a design team member I have played with this paper a lot. This year I have done videos for their channel and wanted to share a few with you.
Distress It with Alcohol Ink
This is my favorite substrate to use alcohol ink on. It creates the most amazing distressed look.
My favorite 3D embellishment to make with Rinea Foiled Paper are flowers!
Die Cut It!
Rinea Foiled Paper die cuts beautifully!
Ink It Up!
Lots of people don’t know you can ink on it too!
What is Your Favorite Way to Use Rinea Foiled Paper?
Or maybe I should ask, how would you use it? I hope you enjoyed this video round up of some of my favorite ways to use Rinea Foiled Paper.
The No Prob-llama stamp set is so fun! It is a perfect excuse to use bright colors. I created two projects with it this month. The first is a twist on a traditional Birthday card. Instead of using paper I used a Birch Clear Scrap mini album. The added Color Burst was just right for the background. The glittered cupcake gave it just enough sparkle to complete the front.
One thing that I am trying to do with each stamp set I get is create an ATC. By working on such a small substrate it is fast and really stretches my creativity! I also tend to remember the stamp set down the road. Usually if I get a new stamp and stash it I forget about it and it never gets played with. By playing with it right away it is like it is etched in my brain that I have it and am more likely to use it again! Hopefully several times.
Here is the fun ATC I created with this stamp set:
Here is the video on how I created it:
This stamp set was a lot of fun to create with! I encourage you to create an ATC with a new stamp set and share it in the Joy Clair group on Facebook. Please tag me in it! I would love to see!
Are you ready for another wonderful blog hop? Today the designers for Joy Clair have teamed up to bring you more new stamp projects featuring the new Color Faith line!
My stamp set is the large Saved By Grace. It has the most beautiful doodled flowers and large script words! Alll of my projects are created with gelatos.
Faith Bible Art
This is not my favorite Bible art page I have ever created. I have decided to share it with you because it is the base of what got me started with this set and the gelatos. I learned a lot as I completed it. My intention was to create a watercolor page. By doing so I learned how to use water with the gelatos.
First I tried to create an ombre affect by mixing gelatos with water and painting them on a clear gessoed Bible page. Once it dried, I tried to stamp with the gelatos, but did not like the look, so I stamped with a waterproof ink and colored them in the same way I colored the background. The page was finished off by stamping “Faith” and “Love”.
To create this card I first stamped a bunch of the words with white and heat set it with embossing powder. I applied my gelatos on top of the stamped image and wipped of the words as I blended out the gelatos.
To create the flowers, I first stamped the images, painted them with gelatos, cut them out and layered them.
This card turned out super cute! A few gems to make up the center and a couple dots of Dew Drops to finish it off.
My expectations for this ATC were not high. I was not sure how the gelatos would react with the vinyl , but I tried it and ended up liking it a lot!
The texture makes this interesting! To create the ATC, I first stamped the flowers and heat set them. I applied the gelatos directly on the ATC and rubbed it out with my finger. I took a baby wipe and lightly buffed the top of the flowers to let the embossed image shine through for more definition. Grace was stamped with white pigment ink and embossing powder that I heat set. A few dots of Dew Drop was the final touch.

This is an exciting week! Joy Clair has new stamps out and I got to play with them! Be prepared for lots of fun new cards, ATCs, Bible Art, and more over the next few weeks! In the meantime, the Joy Clair design team has gotten together for a fabulous hop! Each designer is featuring a different new stamp today and tomorrow. I got to play with the sloths! I could not stop with just one project and created two!
Before Coffee…Feeling Slothy
My 16 year old daughter is the inspiration behind this card. She proudly claims the Sloth title in our house — especially before her coffee. To create this card I tore Bazzil Swiss Dot Cardstock for the grass and used a white Gelato and cloud stencil on blue Bazzil paper. I stamped all the sloths and colored them in with color pencils. After I fussy cut them out I used pop dots to adhere all the images making sure I attached the two branches to create one long one with the sloths on it.
Hang In There
I have this new thing I am doing. I am starting an ATC collection of all the new stamp sets I get! It is fun to warm up with them on a small substrate. For this ATC I used Vinyl as the base and used my fingers to paint on it. Once the paint was dry I stamped the sentiment and pop dotted the image.
Now it is time to hop! Please make sure you hop through each blog to see a different new set and a chance to win a prize! Just leave a comment on all posts!
