Have you seen Sara’s beautiful creations on A Cherry on Top? This is a great lady who loves to create layouts and cards. I adore that she keeps it real and is giving us the inside scoop in her creative journey!

  1. Tell us about yourself! Let’s start with your name and where you are crafting from. My name is Sara Scraps, I live in Western Pennsylvania, USA
  2. What kind of crafting do you do?  I make cards, and scrapbook pages in all forms and sizes ( except double page spreads, I tend to gravitate to smaller canvases)
  3. Tell us about your creative process. Where do you get inspiration? Do you go through a routine when you create? If so, what is it? Do you snack or drink when you create? IF so, what? Do you watch tv, movies, listen to music or podcast? Tell us your favorites!

Im inspired by many, many things. I love to use the elements of design and style in home decor to start a project. I’ll pick a style- Mod, Elegant, Whimsical, etc. and go from there. When I am creating, I like to have water near by. I have a mini fridge under my craft desk that I keep stocked but I find I don’t  really snack while Im creating, more so after. I do watch TV though, Im usually binge watching something while I create!I love British crime shows the best. My current favorite is Murdoch Mysteries on Acorn TV.

Show us your creative space! (send me a picture) Tell us about it. What do you really like about it? Is there anything you would like different in it?

The 4th bedroom in our home is my craft room. I love the big window in front of my desk and the closet is filled with shelving for my scrapbooks. I think the only thing Im not a huge fan of is that I share the room with my youngest  son and his gaming PC.

What are you currently working on?My current project Im most enjoying is a set of TN inserts documenting our experience staying at homeduring the pandemic.

What is your favorite thing you have ever created? Do you have a link or picture to it?

I love, love, love stamping on my scrapbook pages so my favorite page is one where I used only white Cardstock and my inks and stamps.

What is on your crafty wishlist?A new laptop! Mine is sooo old and it makes blogging a chore instead of enjoyment!

What is one thing you would like to see change in the craft industry? I would like to see the card making and scrapbooking community combined to create a paper crafting community with lots of stamps for everyone!

What is one thing you love about the craft industry? The people. I like how kind most are and how we support each other.

How can people find you?
